Review/Tutorial: Hair Chalk from Bornprettystore.com

November 10, 2014

Hello lovely reader/s from all over the world!
Today, im gonna do a review/tutorial about this hair chalk that i received from Born Pretty Store. I really thought that i already posted this review/tutorial here in my blog, good thing i checked my drafts and found this entry unpublished. This post has been sitting in my drafts for almost 2 months! Ugh! what a shame! So now, here it is :)

Here's the variety of pastel chalks you can choose from.
Each chalk is only $0.99 and free shipping world wide.

Notice: The chalk maybe a little crushed during the shipping for chalk stick shape but still be usable, please consider this before buying.

I chose color 022 and 062 from Temporary Crayon Chalk

I was really excited when i got these hair chalks because i never tried this before. And although it was a quite struggle to put it on because i have this dark hair and chose the light colored chalks, i was still really happy and impressed with the result.

So let's begin shall we?

1. Section off the amount of hair you want to color then clip away the rest of your hair.

2. Spray the section of hair so its damp or wet the chalk then apply it in your hair. The more chalk you put in your hair the brighter.

3. Air dry your hair and don't use blow dry so that it wont blow off your hair chalk.

4. Use flat Iron or curling iron rod to seal the color in.

So here's what my hair looks like.
(selfie time!)

Pros to hair chalk:

1. It works really well.
2. Really easy to apply specially if you have light hair color.
3. It can last for a day or 2.
4. Its very affordable and fun.

Cons to hair chalk:

1. Its very messy to work with, it can get into your hands and shirts.
2. Very time consuming specially if you have a dark hair.
3. Knotted hair after application.

  48. Great review! I was surprised when I heard about hair chalk for the first time, and I was really excited to try it, but it didn't turn out so well. Everything around me became messy and I couldn't get the color off of my hands - the color didn't even stay in my hair for longer than approx. half an hour, so I was kinda disappointed, but I've heard about some people who had great experiences with their hair chalk! ^^ It looks so nice in your hair!

  60. Wow, what a funny invention. I've never heard of hair chalk before. It's so cool that it works on Asian hair, too. Especially, if you don't want to dye them. Does the hair feel rough in the end?

That was very inspirational. I have to buy that chalk for my next shootings. Thank you! ;)
