Steamed Cake made from Scratch

September 22, 2013

Yesterday, I failed to buy the ingredients that was supposed to be made today, so I came up in making this steamed cake. Because I just don't want to waste my day in doing nothing, I went to our kitchen and look for some stuff I could use for something risky, something that I haven't done yet. Then I saw the leftovers from my previous post. I immediately took it out and turn it into something tasty :)

Ingredients:

4 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp pandan extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sprite

Procedure:

1. In a medium-sized bowl, crack the eggs and beat it till light and frothy then add the sugar and continue to       beat.
2. Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
3. Then add the pandan extract and sprite and continue then mix well.
4. Put the batter into whatever mold your using.
5. Steamed on high heat for 15 minutes.

These are some of the photos i took.

And these kids are my cousins who are judge in my cooking! lol!

  11. My mom makes a similar cake and it tastes really good, even though it looks very plain. I can't make anything from scratch, so I commend your efforts. All my cakes come from a cake mix. :(
