The One Where I Celebrated my Birthday with my Boyfriend

Hello, lovely people who are reading this post. How are you all?
Well, in today's post, it's about how I celebrated my birthday with my boyfriend last Feb 9. We've been together for two (2) years now but this is the first time that we got the time to celebrate it together. I mean we're island apart from each other and whenever he's in the city, he's always busy with his flight. We actually planned out everything because he likes to plan stuff ahead, while I'm more like laid back. He stayed for the night at our house so we can go to the city together early in the morning. We got there around 11 am and we directly went to Vikings for my birthday lunch. We didn't get to wait for hours because he reserved a seat for us, 2 days before my birthday. So we just went inside the buffet-style restaurant.

We've actually been there 2 times already since we got together, but oh man! I just never skip their pizza station. I always need my pizza to be able to function properly. We got a lot of food on our plate and drank glasses of iced tea. Both my boyfriend and I are a good eater like we just never waste food because we just love to eat. Though I must say that I'm not really a fan of sweets, except a small bite of cakes and other sweets.

So there's this routine every day at the restaurant where the birthday celebrant will be given a free meal and a cake. Sounds awesome right? The staff will also sing you a happy birthday song, where they'll dance and entertain everyone. It was just so fun! I was all smiles that day.

I asked one of the staff to wrap my cake because I'm too full to eat it, which they did. We were there for almost 3 hours, yeah, we really took our time eating everything, from steak to cakes! That's one of our tricks whenever we're at a buffet restaurant. We eat slowly, and stay away from rice haha! Around 3pm, we decided to go to our next destination.

Crown Regency Hotel Cebu Sky Experience Adventure
We got to Crown Regency Hotel and Towers by riding a taxi from SM City Cebu. We then went inside and one of the security guards mistook my boyfriend as Chinese so he was like speaking in English to us really slowly. Until we had to tell him that we're Bisaya lol! The Sky Walk Extreme is on the 37th floor of the building. When we got to the 37th floor, we directly went for the Sky Walk Extreme where we had to walk around the edge of the building with a safety harness. It was actually really terrifying experience but also fun. I tried to walk really slowly to the point that our guide said to me that I should walk a bit faster. lol!

Then we had a photo op where we had to really sit on the translucent glass floor while our feet are hanging in the air. My boyfriend and I were actually joking and teasing one another when in reality I was shaking so bad that my boyfriend had to hold me still. We were 126.55 meters high above the street and we can see the whole city.

The view may be breathtakingly beautiful but really terrifying. Whenever I look down, I feel like I'm being pulled to the ground that I just had t step back and look ahead. Honestly, I was scared for my boyfriend because he's a bit on the heavier side, and what if the glass breaks? Haha! yeah, I'm that paranoid.

Next, we tried their Edge Coaster that also goes around the building. We have the option of pulling the lever to tilt the seat up to 55 degrees but I didn't wanna do that. Until my boyfriend decided to pull the lever without my knowing. Imagine my horrified scream! I beat him up while screaming at him. I was actually on the verge of crying because I was so scared, but then, their resident photographer shouted us to smile and pose. So yeah, that face is all I could muster up haha!

Next up was Tower Zip, he didn't get to do it because of his weight and because I'm someone who loves zip-line, I made a go at it. The ride was pretty quick, it was just across Tower 1 to Tower 3 at 473 ft. high and return to Tower 1 on a Sky Lift at 461 ft. high at a distance of 250 ft. It is said, that it's the first zip-line in the world to use a fully automatic braking system. I don't know, for me, the ride was a bit underwhelming, but I would be lying if I said I didn't scream. haha!

After that mini adventure of ours, we took a lot selfie haha! Just look how haggard our faces were but we're happy and full of love. It was my favorite birthday ever because I get to spend it with the most important person in my life. When I got home, my family prepared a small dinner for our closest relatives. Although I'm a little bit sad with the fact that I'm getting older and older, I couldn't be more thankful for everything that happened in my life, yes, including the bad stuff too.
