Life Lately 2019 Vol.2
May 02, 2019- WATCHING: Let me tell you a secret that only the people who cares/curious about me knows. I am not a fan of Superhero movies! There, I said it! But before you jump your gun, let me explain first. Although I am not really a fan, I must confess that I did enjoy watching the X-men franchise and The Avengers movie series. So recently, it's been all about Endgame and how everyone was like "NO SPOILERS PLS!" Well, the thing is, I love spoilers, and I spoiled myself by watching the fancam copy of the movie that's being shared all over Facebook oopsie! Do I have a plan of seeing it in the cinema? No. But I will be watching it if it comes on tv, just like how I watched the other superhero movies I claimed to enjoy. So there. Also, I am watching Game of Thrones and I'm always on the edge of my seat every damn episode. Although I've had some problem with the pacing of the show at first, now, I don't really mind. I just wish that it will have a happy ending. Welp, just like what Ramsay said, "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention." SHUT UP RAMSAY!
- READING: Remember I told you guys that I'm reading A Little Life? Well, I haven't touched that book since. I picked up all the book I liked just to try and get myself out of the reading slump, but I'm still stuck. What a sad way to live just to find yourself unable to read a book because you don't feel like to. I hope I'll be able to read this month, maybe I'll start with YA books or poetry books. Apart from book reading, I read from tons of blogs too, and my current obsession is Priscilla Ahn's Girl in a Tree. I've been a fan since I listened to her songs Wallflower and Dream. Then I learned shortly after that she will write and record the song for When Marnie was There. Ahhh I'm a fan through and through since then. And recently, she just updated her blog after almost 3 years, that's why I jumped and even started from her very first blog entry.
- LISTENING: I recently got hit by the nostalgia train and I found myself listening to songs by Hannah Monatana, Camp Rock, High School Musical, and even Miley's old albums back when she was still in Disney. Ahh I would give everything just to have all those years back. How I wish I really lived that part of my life. Anyway, I'm still listening to Hamilton's songs! Are you a fan of the Hamilton Musical?
- PLAYING: These past few days, I've been enjoying the app called Spare5 where you will snap common objects like chopsticks, ashtray, matches, even mascara brush and in return they'll give you 3¢. Not that bad huh?
- EATING: Okay, this month has been all about eating non-stop. There's so many occasion that happened. Even though I'm on a diet, I still can't help not eat that crispy pata cooked by dad or that yummy lechon. I really need to get my shit together and count calories again, because my trip will be this coming May and June and I wanna look good in my outfit. Truth be told, I bought my summer outfits one size smaller than my actual body size because I'm kinda hoping that I can still shed some pounds.
- FEELING: I've been feeling kinda low lately, I don't know, I'm always this sad chick who listens to Indie Folk songs or musical songs. Must be because I'm always cooped up in my room. I really need a Rachel Green moment where I would crash into my bestfriend's apartment whom I haven't talked for years. I'll be part of the gang; we'll hang at Central Perk or whatever cafe there is. And i'll start my life again from there. But who am I kidding? I don't have a Monica in my life.
- PLANNING: Story time. Earlier this year, I applied for a teaching job at a public school and I had to go through a lot of process. There was even a time where I had to stay up all night because I have to be at the school around 3AM in the morning. In the end, I didn't make the cut because I lacked one requirement. That's why last week, my friend and I decided to apply at an ESL company here in Cebu. I got hired but I decided to forfeit my application for the reason that the salary is not enough to cover all the cost of living on my own. So right now, I'm trying to get my internet connection updated because I got 2 interviews from 2 different ESL company, and one of their requirements is to have at-least 3mbps internet speed.
- THINKING: About my future and my plans in life. It took me years to finally get into this mindset. And even though life's pretty monotonous right now, I can still say that I'm lucky because I can still do the things I enjoy doing. But there's just this pressure in the back of my head telling me that I'm wasting my time away. I really hope things will look up for me in the coming months.
- PHOTOGRAPHING: I've been talking a lot of pictures from food to beauty products because I'm trying to curate my Instagram account (after almost 3 years of being inactive) and update my blog as much as I can.
- WRITING: Been writing on my blog a lot these days.
- USING: I switch from my phone to laptop to PC because I update my Instagram using my phone, I write on my sister's laptop, and I edit photos for my blog on PC. Also, I'm still obsessed with my Korean earrings which I bought for only ₱120.
- LEARNING: I'm trying to learn SEO which is frustrating and confusing.
- REMINISCING: I'm the kind of person who loves to reminisce especially during my time in high school. Although I'm someone you would not take notice because of my wallflower-y nature, I can say now that I did enjoy my time then. I think that's the time where I'm my most happiest—free from obligations and responsibilities.

Deletebtw I'm getting tired of superhero movies, I enjoyed them at first but I'm not so crazy about them anymore.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Same! But I'm not tired, It's like I won't go out of my way just to see it. If it comes on TV and I happen to be couch-surfing—then ill watch it. haha

I'm actually having a hard time learning it on my own haha I might give up sooner haha
DeleteI myself am actually no a huge fan of superhero movies as well. I feel like they're very mainstream movies that the populace likes, which is why Hollywood keeps recycling superhero movies.

That's a good decision too! I was actually planning to wait it out until all the episodes are out, but I just want to know what happened to my favorite characters haha. Avengers is one of my favorite superhero movies alongside with x-men.
DeleteOOOOOOOH GAME OF THRONES!! The last episode was wild even though I couldn't see what was going on for most of the episode. You can never go wrong with eating good, hehe. Mmm, lechon is delicious! It is great that you've applied for different jobs. Good luck with that!

I feel really identify with your comments - well, most of them: No spoilers for me, thanks, and I'm hating a little bit this last GOT season, looking forward to the end! I also loved High School Musical and Camp Rock back in the day! I really like this kind of post, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Hahaha I'm not a fan of superhero movies either! But I have been loving Game of Thrones, I'm still recovering after watching the third episode! I received A Little Life for Christmas but the size of it and knowing that it's such a sad story has made me hesistant to pick it up. I'm hoping to read it over summer though! Love these kinds of post! x
