Well, that was pretty fast. How come I didn't even notice that today is the last day of the month of July? I guess, I was too busy with work and coming to terms that I'm getting older and older each passing day. Two (2) nights ago, I was back reading some of my old blog posts, and I realized that I was a lot skinnier back then. The thing is, during those times, I always thought of myself as fat, I never really liked how I looked back then. I would try all the diet fads just to shed off some unwanted weight. In retrospect, it was silly of me to believe about everything they've told me, I should've really embraced how I look instead of worrying about it every night.
As the rain started to pour and made a relaxing background sound, I contemplated whether or not to sleep. A rainy Saturday afternoon is my favorite time to sleep in, but unfortunately, I'm just not too sleepy yet. So here I am in front of my computer. I hope the rain will not stop until I'm done.
Four (4) years ago, I was in dire need of a good toner, it was the time when I decided to take good care of my skin. I've tried many toners before I met this gem, although there are times when I like to be adventurous and try other stuff— I always come back to this because it's really suitable for my oily skin type and it never fails to deliver.
These days, my boyfriend and I don't usually eat out a lot just like what we used to. We find that staying and cooking at home is the best way to save money. I for one don't really like to go out if I don't really have to. But of course, we love to get our Japanese food fix from time to time, and yesterday, we went to Nonki Japanese Restaurant at SM City Cebu. The thing is, I've never been to Nonki before, because back when I wasn't dating my boyfriend yet, my sister and I don't usually opt for Japanese resto as she just doesn't like it— she prefers buffet-style and seafood resto. And because I'm introvert who doesn't like to go alone, and I also don't really have friends to hang out and eat out with— I was stuck. Everything changed when I met Henry.
Eversince I was a kid, I always enjoy watching anime. I remember running home from school after the class is over, with my heavy bag full of school books on my back, just to watch Slam Dunk and/or Prince of Tennis on the television. When every weekend means staying at home, trying get things done before 8am just to watch Hunter X Hunter and Fullmetal Panic. Nothing really changes when I got into high school. I think most of my classmates know that I’m a big fan of anime, I even started collecting K-zone, Otaku mag, and Neocomics. So yeah, I wasn’t a girly girl back then.
As girls, we're no stranger into carrying a lot of stuff in our bags, I for one need to have bag whenever I'm out. There was one time I went to a grocery store with nothing but my phone, wallet with cards in it, and some cash stuffed in my pocket. And oh boy, I looked like I stole all the candy bars out there and stuffed it all on my shallow jean pocket. I really looked uncomfortable and I was anxious the whole time I'm there. That's why I promised to myself that I would never do it again. Some lessons you need to learn the hard way. Since then, I always bring my small cute sling bag, just to have somewhere to put all my belongings.
We all know that June is one of the popular months to get married. Two of the people I know got married last month. Now, that the wedding season is over, you might wonder why I'm making this post, right? Well, actually September and October are coming up and like June, a lot of couples get married during these months. If you're like me, who loves to attend weddings, then you probably know that one of the highlights of a wedding is the brides wedding gown. Some of the brides get their gowns custom made or ready to wear, and they spend a lot of hours just by looking for that one dress where they could look and feel beautiful.
In this day and age, more and more people are becoming wiser when it comes to spending their hard earned money. They want it to be spent on something meaningful that will last them a couple of years. I myself is born from a family where saving is a top priority, and I'm glad that my parents instilled that discipline while we're young because now, I have this grasp about the value of money and what it really means to save. Of course, we are all different and we have different views about money and saving. The bottom line is that we should be smart and practical when it comes to buying stuff. We should know the fine line between needs and wants.
No matter how life seems so mundane, there will always be times when we get to dress up and go out for an event. It doesn't happen quite a lot, but when the time calls for it, we should be ready and look our best. Take, for example, Cinderella. She knows she will be going to a ball, she went and grabbed her moms dress to make it more appropriate for the event, of course by the help of her little friends. Later into that evening, we witness how her stepsisters tore her dress up while her evil stepmom watched with satisfaction. Although Cinderella didn't get to wear the dress that her friends put together, she still went and got the most beautiful dress given to her by her fairy godmother. It's been ages since I watched that Disney classic, so forgive me if it's not really accurate.
Happy Sunday to all of you lovely people who are reading this post! I know it's been only weeks since I last talked about wedding dresses, but here I am again bringing all of you great news especially if you're planning to settle down and marry the love of your life. I actually talked to someone earlier about what is the right age to marry. Knowing what I want when it comes to settling down, I immediately answer that my I would love to get married when I'm 33-ish. But I don't really know, and a lot could happen during those years. So let's just leave it to the universe.
Hello, lovely people who are reading this! How are you all? I bet you're here reading this article because you're looking for a skateboard online. The thing is, back when I was a kid, I always wanted to try riding it. Most of my guy classmates have one and they will use it every morning, and they just look so cool. Maybe it's just me but that's one of the reasons why I had a crush on that guy. No matter how hard I try to persuade my mom to buy me one, she always just say no.
Hello lovely reader/s! How are you all today? I just got off from today's shift actually, and now here I am again sharing with you my latest brand discovery called Popreal. Since my friends started having families, I'm always getting pointed as godmother of their child, which is nice by the way. The thing is, I only have so little time to do some shopping and as 'that' fashionable godmum, I want to give them clothes because I like seeing my godchildren with their cute kids clothes. Maybe if they're a bit older, I would give them books, but right now I'm just so happy because I finally know where to look if ever their birthday comes.
Hello lovely reader/s! How are you all? Now that summer is officially over here in the Philippines, rain is now dominating most of the days here, well I can't really complain because I'm one of those people who loves the company of rain. I can just take my book out, drink a cuppa, read in the corner of my room, and just get lost to another world. There are times though I have to get out of my room and do the adulting stuff like running some errands, and of course, knowing me, I like to look good and the rain won't hold me back from it. Good thing I stumble upon this site called Luvye, they have a lot of amazing and pretty clothes with many variations. So I don't have to worry about tightly wrapping myself up because they have sexy sweaters that not only will make me warm, but also will make me look good but still weather appropriate.
Here are some of my favorite sweaters that I really like from their web store.
